We love our new location so please ensure we are allowed to stay there while also protecting this special place – PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PETS AT HOME. Dogs, cats and other domestic animals are not allowed in Point Nepean National Park at any time, including within vehicles and at special events (guide dogs excepted). Tribe
Portsea Swim Classic Tribe is a female-only team swim event.
Three members per team. Each member swims approximately 500 metres in a straight line with the tide. One start wave, everyone swims at their own pace.
This is a timed event. Team members times are aggregated to derive a notional 1500m time.
Start Time: 11am
Start Location: Beach in front of parade ground flagpoles.
(located near Park information Visitors centre)
Course: Straight line to Swim Classic Finish
Prizes for 1,2, and 3 teams based on times.
All entrants get an event t-shirt, Tribe 2020 participation medal and vouchers from our sponsors.
Prizes
Numerous random prize draws during the course of the day.
Prizes and/or trophies will be presented to all age division placegetters.
NOTE: to be eligible for random prizes participants must have entered in accordance with ‘Entries Close’ below and must also be in attendance at presentation in person to collect random prizes.
Major Prize: NOOSA SUMMER SWIM PACKAGE
Enter online and you will go into the draw to win a return trip for two people to the 2020 Noosa Summer Swim Festival on February 01-02, thanks to World Series Swims.

The Major Prize includes return flights, accommodation and swim entries into any distances. The weekend festival includes 300m – 3.0km events on Saturday and the Noosa 5km Grand Prix on Sunday.

Race Entry
- $65 (GST inclusive) Portsea Swim Classic1.5km race online entries must be received prior to entry close date.
- $75 (GST inclusive) Portsea SwimClassic 1.5km race on the day (numbers permitting – NOTE limit of 2,000 competitors)
Note: On day entries are CASH only. - $80 (GST inclusive) Portsea Swim Classic Gold 2.5KM race online entries only numbers strictly limited to 300 competitors.
Entry fees are non-refundable.
Porsche Centre Brighton DA$H 4 CA$H
The Portsea Swim Classic is pleased to present the annual Porsche Centre Brighton DA$H 4 CA$H.
Only open to pre registered swimmers and limited to 50 female and 50 male swimmers, registration will be on the day, opening at 9am. You must take your Timing Chip to the DA$H 4 CA$H registration tent for proof of registration.
$1,000 cash to be won by the first male and female.
Entries
Online entries close 6pm Sharp Monday 13th January 2020.
Postal entries not accepted.
Race Kit
Each competitor will receive a souvenir 100% cotton BLAZER t-shirt, swim cap, certificate and products from our sponsors including Splitrock, Bulla and the Australian Banana Industry.
Timing
Each competitor will be issued with a transponder which they will be required to wear around their ankle at all times during the race. It is the responsibility of competitors to ensure the transponders are securely fastened to them prior to entering the water. Non-returned or lost transponders will incur a $100 replacement charge.
Registration
At Jarman oval, commencing at 8:00am and will close at 11:00am

At bus marshalling zone, 40 minutes prior to your swim start time

Car Parking
All car parking will be located at Jarman oval inside the Point Nepean National Park at a cost of $5 per vehicle. The $5 fee helps Portsea SLSC offset the significant traffic management costs required inside Point Nepean National Park.
Results
Results will be available online on 18th January 2020 at a link to be confirmed closer to the date.
Swim Safety
During the Portsea Swim Classic, qualified surf life savers will monitor swimmers safety from the water. Please do not hesitate to call for assistance if required by raising your arm in the air.
Medical assistance is readily available on the beach.
Consider wearing a wetsuit for extra warmth.
To maximise your safety during your race, you will be placed in a colour-coded swim group according to your anticipated swim time. It is imperative that all entrants swim in their nominated cap colour-coded group.
Note: Some tidal movement may be experienced in the area of the swim. However, the timing of the swim has been set to maximise your safety.
