My lifesaving journey began with U7 nippers and since then I have been lucky enough to progress through a number of roles at Portsea SLSC and as a lifeguard on the Mornington Peninsula. In the volunteering sphere, I have coordinated nippers, been a bronze camp chief instructor and last year I stepped into the Lifesaving Director role and became a member of Operational and General Committees. I have been a paid lifeguard for the last 7 seasons and the Chief Lifeguard of the Mornington Peninsula area for the last 3 seasons. I was also a candidate at SLSA’s National Leadership College and a mentor on LSV’s Advanced Lifesaving Camp. My passion for the beach, providing a service to the community and spending time with close friends has been the driving factor for my continued involvement in lifesaving.
